Patch Management

Patch Management for Co-managed IT

Keep agreed systems maintained through a patching process your team can see and govern. Cloud Agile can manage selected patching activities alongside your internal IT team, with coverage, priorities and change responsibilities defined.

Overview

Our Approach to Patch Management

Patching works best when everyone knows which systems are covered, how updates are prioritised and who approves change. We agree that scope with your team before deploying anything.

Based in the UK. Working internationally.

Our consultancy model supports remote collaboration with leadership and IT teams across locations. At the start of each engagement, we agree the countries and entities in scope, meeting arrangements, delivery responsibilities and any onsite requirements. Service hours and response commitments are set out in the agreed scope.

What's Included

Everything You Need From Patch Management

  • Agreed estate and supported operating systems and applications
  • Inventory review and coverage gaps
  • Priorities based on exposure and business importance
  • Testing and deployment rings
  • Maintenance windows and approved emergency changes
  • Failures, rollback and exceptions
  • Evidence and reporting

Define the estate and coverage

We agree the devices, servers, operating systems and applications in scope, compare them with the inventory and record coverage gaps. Unsupported or excluded systems are recorded rather than assumed to be covered.

Prioritise, test and deploy

Updates are prioritised by exposure and business importance, then released through agreed testing and deployment rings within maintenance windows. Emergency changes follow the approval route agreed with your team.

Handle failures and exceptions

Failed deployments are investigated, rolled back where needed and recorded. Systems that cannot be patched are added to an exception register with an owner and a review date.

Deploying a patch is not the same as resolving every vulnerability

Patching treats many known issues, but some findings need configuration, access or architecture changes. Vulnerability management verifies what has been resolved and what remains.

  • Agreed coverage record.
  • Deployment and reporting schedule.
  • Exception register.
  • Escalation process.
