Overview

Our Approach to IT Support

Cloud Agile combines responsive IT support with proactive maintenance and senior technical expertise. We can manage your day-to-day IT or work alongside your existing team, with clear responsibilities, agreed service levels and practical reporting.

What's Included

Everything You Need From IT Support

  • First-line helpdesk and second-line technical support
  • Third-line engineering and escalation
  • Microsoft 365, identity, joiners and leavers
  • Endpoint and device management (Windows, macOS, mobile)
  • Proactive monitoring and patching
  • Network, server and cloud support with vendor coordination
  • Hardware procurement and deployment

Fully managed or co-managed

Fully managed: Cloud Agile runs your day-to-day IT within the agreed scope, from helpdesk and device management to maintenance and reporting. This suits organisations without an internal IT function, or those that want one accountable partner.

Co-managed: we add selected support capabilities alongside your existing IT team, such as first-line cover, third-line engineering or patching, without you giving up ownership of your internal IT function. Responsibilities and escalation paths are agreed in writing. See our co-managed IT service for the full set of modules.

We support organisations of any size, with no minimum or maximum. Each engagement includes only the capabilities you choose; not every service below is part of every package.

First-line helpdesk

Everyday user, application and device issues: password and access problems, Microsoft 365 questions, printing, software faults and routine service requests. We log, diagnose and resolve what we can, and escalate anything else through the agreed path.

In a co-managed arrangement, first-line support can be provided by Cloud Agile, retained by your service desk or shared. We agree which users, systems and request types are in scope, the service hours and response arrangements, and how tickets pass between teams.

  • Agreed users, systems and request types in scope.
  • Ticket logging, triage and resolution within the agreed scope.
  • Escalation to second- or third-line engineering, your team or existing providers.
  • Recurring-issue reporting so root causes can be addressed.

Second-line technical support

Escalated troubleshooting for more complex faults that need deeper investigation: recurring device or application issues, permissions, connectivity problems and configuration faults. Second-line engineers work through to resolution or pass the issue to third-line engineering with clear notes.

Third-line engineering

Advanced infrastructure, cloud, identity and technical escalations, plus planned changes and knowledge transfer. Our third-line IT support service describes how specialist escalation works alongside your team or another provider.

Microsoft 365 and identity

Tenant administration, user access, licences, and joiners and leavers, with identity controls such as MFA and Conditional Access maintained within the agreed scope. Moving into Microsoft 365 or between tenants is handled as a separate migration project.

Endpoint and device management

Deployment, configuration and ongoing administration of Windows, macOS and mobile devices, including policies, applications and device lifecycle within the agreed scope.

Proactive monitoring and patching

Monitoring, maintenance, remediation and reporting so problems are found and fixed before they disrupt people. Agreed coverage, change windows and exceptions are set out in our patch management service.

Network, server and cloud support

Agreed support for networks, servers and cloud platforms, including vendor coordination with internet providers, telephony and line-of-business application suppliers. Larger infrastructure changes are scoped through our cloud and infrastructure service.

Hardware procurement and deployment

Specification, acquisition, setup and lifecycle planning for hardware and licences, delivered through our IT procurement and licensing service. Onsite deployment is arranged in agreed locations.

Security operations coordination

Where it is part of the agreed scope, IT support connects with our cyber security, vulnerability management, SOC and backup and recovery services, so incidents and findings move between teams with clear ownership.

Hours, onsite visits and response commitments

Support hours, onsite availability and response commitments are set according to the service you agree with us. Standard cover is UK business hours; extended or out-of-hours arrangements can be agreed where needed.

Support is delivered remotely as standard, including for organisations operating internationally. Onsite visits are available in agreed locations around our Milton Keynes office and the regions listed below.

Why It Matters

The Outcomes You'll Actually See

Protect team productivity

Engineers who own issues through to resolution, with escalation paths agreed up front.

Continuous improvement

We address root causes and refine your environment over time, so IT gets quieter, not louder.

Predictable investment

A clear monthly scope aligned to your roadmap, with what is and is not included set out in advance.

Use Cases

Where IT Support Makes the Biggest Difference

Onboarding a growing hybrid team

Headcount is climbing and new starters are joining across offices and home working, but device setup, licences and access take days.

What we deliver: We standardise onboarding via Intune and Autopilot so every new hire is productive on day one, with senior engineers on the end of the phone.

Co-managing alongside an internal IT lead

You have a capable internal IT person, but they're drowning in tier-1 tickets and out-of-hours escalations.

What we deliver: We take on the helpdesk, monitoring and after-hours cover so your lead reclaims time for strategic work, without losing ownership.

Standing up a second office

A new site needs networking, Wi-Fi, telephony and secure device access, on a tight opening date.

What we deliver: We plan, procure and deploy the estate as a single project, then fold ongoing support into the existing contract, no learning curve.

Recovering from a departing sole IT admin

Your sole IT contact has left and knowledge, passwords and admin access are walking out with them.

What we deliver: We audit and rebaseline the estate, secure privileged access, and take over day-to-day operations, business continuity protected.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between fully managed and co-managed IT support?+

Fully managed means Cloud Agile runs your day-to-day IT within the agreed scope. Co-managed means we provide selected capabilities, such as first-line cover or third-line engineering, alongside your internal team, which keeps ownership of its IT function.

Which support levels do you provide?+

First-line helpdesk, second-line technical support and third-line engineering. You can engage all three as a managed service, or only the levels your team needs.

What hours and response times are covered?+

Support hours, onsite availability and response commitments are agreed for each service. Standard cover is UK business hours, with extended or out-of-hours arrangements agreed where needed.

Do you support organisations outside the UK?+

Yes, remotely. We agree the countries, users, working hours and any onsite requirements at the start. Onsite visits are available in agreed locations.

Do you support Mac as well as Windows?+

Yes, we support Windows, macOS, iOS and Android across remote and office-based teams.

What happens when we switch from our current provider?+

We run a structured onboarding: discovery, documentation, secure handover and a stabilisation period, planned to keep disruption to a minimum.

How much does managed IT support cost per user in the UK?+

Fully managed IT support for UK SMEs typically ranges from £45 to £95 per user per month, depending on device count, security tooling and out-of-hours cover. Our pricing calculator gives an indicative monthly figure, confirmed after a discovery call.

What is the difference between managed IT support and break-fix?+

Break-fix charges you when something goes wrong. Managed IT support is an agreed monthly service that includes proactive maintenance, so many incidents are prevented rather than billed for.

Cloud Agile delivers fully managed and co-managed IT support across our service areas. Most work is handled remotely by senior engineers, with onsite assistance arranged where a problem genuinely needs someone in the building. That includes day-to-day helpdesk, Microsoft 365 management, device and network monitoring, patching, onboarding and offboarding, and the strategic guidance that stops the same issues returning.
