Our Approach to Colocation
Colocation still makes sense for some workloads: licensing that penalises cloud, appliances that must be physical, latency-sensitive systems, or equipment with life left in it. Cloud Agile helps you decide whether it is the right answer, coordinates with the data-centre provider you select, plans the migration and manages the infrastructure afterwards.

When colocation is still the right option
The decision is workload-led. Some systems are cheaper, faster or simply more practical on hardware you own; others are better retired into cloud services. We look at each workload rather than applying a single policy to the estate.

Requirements, facility selection and resilience
Cloud Agile does not own or operate a data centre. We specify what the environment must provide, help you evaluate providers against that specification, and coordinate the commercial and technical arrangements with the facility you choose.

Migration and ongoing management
Moving live infrastructure is a planning exercise first. We sequence the work around the business, agree the downtime window and test before the old environment is stood down.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cloud Agile own a data centre?+
No. We specify the requirement, help you evaluate suitable facilities and coordinate with the data-centre provider you select. Ownership of the facility stays with that provider; we manage the infrastructure inside it.
Should we move to the cloud instead?+
Sometimes, but not always. Licensing, hardware dependencies, data volumes and recent capital investment can all make colocation the more sensible option for particular workloads. We assess it workload by workload and present the reasoning.
Can we run a mix of colocation and cloud?+
Yes, and most organisations do. We design the network, identity and backup arrangements so the environment behaves as one estate rather than two disconnected ones.
Who handles physical work in the facility?+
Routine physical tasks are handled through the data centre's remote-hands service, coordinated by us, with attended visits arranged where the work requires it.
