Physical security

Physical Security Systems for UK Businesses

Premises technology designed, installed and administered alongside your IT, so cameras and door systems are secured rather than quietly forgotten.

Overview

Our Approach to Physical security

Modern CCTV and access control are IT systems. They sit on your network, hold personal data, need patching and have administrator accounts that someone must own. Cloud Agile designs premises security as part of the wider environment: the right coverage, the cabling and connectivity to support it, and secure, documented administration afterwards.

What's Included

Everything You Need From Physical security

  • Assessment of premises, entry points and operational requirements
  • CCTV design and installation coordination
  • Access control and door entry systems
  • Structured cabling, power and network requirements
  • Secure remote access, user permissions and retention settings
  • Documentation and ongoing system support

Assessment first

We start with what you are trying to achieve: protecting stock, controlling who enters which areas, supporting staff working alone, or meeting an insurer or client requirement. The technology follows from that.

  • Premises layout, entry points and areas of genuine concern
  • Operating hours, staffing and how incidents are currently handled
  • Existing systems, their condition and whether they can be extended
  • Network, cabling and power available at each location
  • Data-protection considerations, including retention and access

Where physical and cyber security overlap

Cameras and door controllers are network devices with default passwords, ageing firmware and remote access built in. Treated casually, they become the weakest point on the network.

We put them on segmented networks, replace default credentials, control administrative access and keep firmware current, exactly as we would for any other connected system.

  • Network segmentation so premises devices are isolated from business systems
  • Named administrative accounts and role-based permissions
  • Secure remote viewing rather than ports opened to the internet
  • Firmware and patch management for recorders and controllers
  • Retention periods set deliberately, with privacy information in place

What we deliver, and who does what

Installation work is coordinated with specialist installers where the task requires it, with Cloud Agile responsible for the design, the network and the secure configuration of the system.

Intruder alarms, ANPR, automated gates and barriers, visitor-management platforms and monitored alarm-receiving services sit outside our current scope. Where they are needed we will say so plainly rather than take on work we do not deliver.

Delivery

How a Project Works

  1. 1

    Survey

Assess the premises, risks, existing systems and network readiness.

  2. 2

    Design

Specify coverage, devices, cabling, storage and the access model.

  3. 3

    Install

Coordinate the installation, cabling and network configuration.

  4. 4

    Secure

Harden accounts, segment the network and configure retention and remote access.

  5. 5

    Support

Document the system and maintain it, including firmware and user changes.

Why It Matters

The Outcomes You'll Actually See

One design, not three projects

Cameras, door entry, cabling and connectivity are planned together so nothing is retrofitted awkwardly.

Secured like IT, because it is IT

Segmentation, patching and controlled administration keep premises devices off the risk register.

Supportable after handover

Documented systems, named owners and ongoing maintenance rather than an unknown box in a cupboard.

What Success Looks Like

  • A premises security design matched to real operational risks
  • Installed systems with cabling, network and storage properly specified
  • Hardened, segmented devices with controlled administrative access
  • Documentation, user administration and ongoing support

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you monitor CCTV or alarms 24/7?+

No. We design, install, secure and support the systems. We do not provide a monitored alarm-receiving service or human CCTV monitoring, and we will tell you where a specialist monitoring provider is needed.

Can you work with the CCTV or door system we already have?+

Often, yes. We assess condition, firmware support and whether the system can be extended or secured properly. Where it cannot, we explain why before recommending replacement.

Does installing CCTV make us compliant with data-protection law?+

No. CCTV processes personal data, and compliance depends on your purpose, signage and privacy information, access controls and retention periods. We design the system to support those obligations, but the responsibility remains yours.

Do you handle intruder alarms or automatic gates?+

Not currently. Our scope covers CCTV, access control and door entry, structured cabling and Wi-Fi. We will point you to appropriate specialists for anything outside that.
